Abstract Corrosion probes designed based on an electrochemically integrated multi-electrode array have been evaluated in extensive field and laboratory evaluation program order to identify their capabilities visualizing probing critical forms of buried steel corrosion, particular, corrosion under disbonded coatings (CDC) stray current corrosion. Probes different designs were installed the pipeline simulate measure influence currents cathodic protection (CP) deficiency as well CDC. Accelerated tests also performed, where electrochemical measurements can be taken more frequently condition precisely controlled. patterns rates calculated with a sensitivity 10 µm/year. Testing results correlated reasonably long-term behavior. On other hand, single element electrical resistance not able or CDC occurring surfaces.
